Hello everyone .

I’m Aindrila Biswas. This is my very first blog. It is all about the start of my new journey, exploring new things, and a peek to my technical journey.

INTRODUCTION.

It was exactly three months back when I got enrolled in the University for my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering. Though it was quiet exciting for me to step out of my home and comfort zone, all ready to become “Dora The Explorer”, I was still worried though, about how will I be introduced to this technical world as I was unaware about different routes in this technical field.

Previously, I did have some knowledge about coding in Python and also a basic grasp about MySQL.

In this last three months I did have a great intro of the course I have taken and thought of sharing it.

OCTOBER, 2023.

Week 1 -

The seniors of our college started taking tech sessions to help us grow in this tech world. Got introduced to Github and started learning it with the help of our seniors. Grateful to our seniors Arindam Majumder and Swapnoneel Saha for giving the much-needed introduction and guidance of the tech world.

Week 2 -

i continued exploring Git and Github, and tried to understand about the different features of it. Also, I started learning C language.

Week 3 -

I started with web development following the Sigma Web Development Course, a free course on YouTube by Code with Harry. Along with learning HTML, I continued my study about C Programming Language.

Week 4 -

Not much was done in this week as I had to concentrate on my academics for my CA exams.

NOVEMBER, 2023.

Week 1-

This was the week I was introduced to Leetcode by our seniors. Leetcode, being a platform where everyone can solve and improve their coding skills, also prepares candidates for technical interviews. Also, did contribution to the repository on Github.

Week 2 -

This week i got a spectacular chance to attend a session organised by our seniors on GSOC and open-source contribution. The speaker was none other than Shivang Shandilya . It was an enriching session with where I learned that communication is the key and GSOC is not an internship, its all about collaboration and contribution into open source.

Week 3 -

The preceding week went well as i got the chance to attend the sessions on open source held by JCON WORLD 2023. Learnt about many things in the session. it serves as a repository of valuable knowledge that makes developers' work easier and more efficient.

Week 4 -

Attended a session organised by Elewayte in collaboration with Wipro where i got know about:1.Resume Building & ATS

2.Importance of Projects in a Resume

3.Trending domains with High Pay off

4.New Job Opportunities

5.Current Need of the Hour as required by Industries

6.Tips to crack placements with high package

7.Prerequisites for Placements

DECEMBER,2023.

Week 1 -

In this week , I took the decision to switch from C to JAVA language and started learning JAVA from the Youtube channel named “Kunal Kushwaha”. This week’s session was really interesting as our seniors informed us about how personal branding is important for us to grow our careers. Our senior also motivated us to initiate a project of our own.

Week 2 -

In this week, I participated in a session hosted by Keploy featuring Swapnoneel Saha as the speaker. The discussion revolved around API Testing and Keploy. The session covered topics such as understanding APIs, their functioning, the importance of API testing, and an in-depth exploration of Keploy and its associated benefits.

Week 3 -

Got a chance to attend a session this week on Blockchain technology and Web3. It was an enriching session about which included information all about Blockchain technology. (history, key factors, Ethereum Blockchain development, future of Blockchain), difference between Web1.0, Web2.0 and Web3.0 and a little knowledge about NFTs. Also proceeded with my learning in JAVA, solved 2 DSA problems.

Week 4 -

Revised my way through HTML and also had several group meetings on our project. Also, I solved 2 DSA problems.

CONCLUSION.

As I reflect on the past three months, my journey into the realm of Computer Science and Engineering has been both exhilarating and challenging. From the initial tech sessions with seniors introducing me to GitHub, to exploring the intricacies of web development and diving into the world of Leetcode, each week brought new insights and learning opportunities.

Attending sessions on GSOC, open source, and industry insights expanded my understanding of collaboration and the ever-evolving tech landscape. The emphasis on personal branding, coupled with inspiring talks on blockchain, Web3.0, and API testing, motivated me to take charge of my career growth.

As I delved into Java, participated in engaging discussions, and worked on our project, I realized the importance of continuous learning and collaboration. These three months have not only shaped my technical skills but have also instilled in me the significance of communication, teamwork, and personal initiative.

Looking ahead, I am excited to apply the knowledge gained in real-world scenarios and further contribute to the dynamic field of Computer Science. The journey has just begun, and I eagerly anticipate the adventures and growth that the coming months will bring.
